PGI Introduces "Hint Tool"!

SEE SOMETHING YOU LIKE?  HELP HIM GET THE HINT!
PGI-USA LAUNCHES “HINT TOOL” ON WWW.PRECIOUSPLATINUM.COM

New York, NY (August 9, 2013) – Every girl dreams of that magical day- her Prince Charming on bended knee professing his love with the perfect symbol of an everlasting relationship- a platinum engagement ring! But how does he know which setting is swoon-worthy? Platinum Guild International USA (PGI USA) has created a foolproof instrument to take the guesswork out of ring shopping, the new “Hint Tool.”

The Hint Tool lives on PGI-USA’s recently re-launched consumer website www.preciousplatinum.com. Users navigating the platinum design gallery can send a “hint” to that special someone indicating any piece of platinum jewelry from the site by simply clicking the “Hint This” link on any product page. This will prompt a customizable e-card that can be sent via email or social media or even printed for personal delivery. The addressee will then receive the relevant product info with the personalized message.

“Surveys find that an overwhelming amount of brides-to-be desire a platinum setting,” says PGI USA President Huw Daniel. “The Hint Tool is a way for these brides, and anyone desiring platinum jewelry, to not only express a preference of design, but to distinguish the benefit of setting it in platinum.”

Platinum is naturally white and, unlike other white metals, will never change color or fade so it is the perfect choice for jewelry that symbolizes a lasting relationship. See more facts about platinum, platinum jewelry designs, retailer locations and much more on www.preciousplatinum.com. The website has recently been revamped to provide for a more user-friendly experience with an easy-to-navigate design gallery and accessible information and tools.

WILL YOUR JEWELRY STAND THE “TEST OF TIME?”

For those of you that sell Platinum Jewelry - the new multi-media campaign from PGI-USA looks fabulous!

DOES YOUR JEWELRY STAND THE “TEST OF TIME?”;
PLATINUM GUILD INTERATIONAL USA LAUNCHES NEW MULTIMEDIA CAMPAIGN

NEW YORK, NY (August 29, 2012)— Platinum is the most precious of metals, renowned for its remarkable properties.  Often chosen for engagement rings and wedding bands, platinum symbolizes a love that will last forever. Why? Unlike metals that will change color and wear away over time, platinum is naturally white, so it will never fade and it is durable, so it will not wear away.  Platinum will literally stand the test of time.

Platinum Guild International (PGI-USA) has launched a successful new online multimedia media campaign called “Test of Time” to highlight platinum’s unfading and unchanging nature. The program consists of various units, including an expandable banner ad that contains video with style tips and platinum information, a gallery of jewelry to browse, and an interactive ring for consumers to learn more about platinum. Banners are hosted on The Knot and Martha Stewart Weddings websites and a static banner ad lives on the David’s Bridal website.  The campaign is designed to provide further education on the benefits of platinum, particularly that it is a pure white metal that will never fade.   All of the units lead the consumer to additional platinum education on www.preciousplatinum.com

The campaign is one of the most effective for PGI to date.  It is currently outperforming industry benchmarks given the following recorded statistics:  a click-thru rate of 0.35%, versus a 0.13% average for jewelry ads; interaction rate of 3.08% versus 0.09% average; a 0:30 seconds average time spent on the banner versus 0:09 seconds average; and higher quality traffic to preciousplatinum.com with up to 2:39 minutes spent on the site and 2.34 pages per visit versus the historical expectation of 1:55 and 1.89 respectively.  The data is undeniable!

“Platinum is the best choice for engagement rings, wedding bands and other fine jewelry that symbolizes life’s most memorable moments,” says PGI-USA President Huw Daniel. “The ‘Test of Time’ creative schematic brings the qualities of platinum to life in a way that allows the consumer to make this connection and the overwhelming response has proven this.”

To view the “Test of Time” expandable banner ad in action, please visit the Martha Stewart Weddings page.  For more information, contact Amanda Tropila at 212-404-1605 or atropila@pgiglobal.com.

“Our research shows that the platinum customer is more digitally savvy providing the industry many opportunities to engage with them even before they arrive in store.  This kind of promotion serves to expose them to the latest designs in platinum and gives them a better understanding of what sets platinum apart from all other metals” Huw Daniel, President PGI USA says.

#JewelWKLV - Platinum Innovation Awards

PGI-USA Announces
The Platinum Innovation Awards

Just before I got in the car to drive home yesterday I went to one last event...The presentation of the winners of the Platinum Innovation Awards were announced at a special press conference at JCK Las Vegas.

This year two awards were given in 7 categories - one was chosen at an Editors event that included editorial staff from all of the respected Jewelry and Fashion Publications, Blogs and Organizations.

The second was chosen from the show floor at JCK Las Vegas by the Buyers attending.  In a voting system much like Dancing With The Stars, various pieces throughout the show were marked with labels that instructed shoppers to text an identifying number to the PGI phonebank where the votes were tallied and announced Sunday night.

The event was beautiful - the models stunning and the winning jewels spectacular!!!

The room buzzed with the excitement of Press, Designers and Industry leaders present.  I caught a few shots of the winning pieces from the announcement event and will share them with you - professional shots will be coming soon.
