“I am thrilled to represent Canada at this prestigious jewelley industry event and showcase my signature collections internationally,” Purdy said. “‘Shaped by Origin’ is one of the four story lines within the ‘Diamonds with a Story’ initiative, and conveys my trip to the Northwest Territories in 2001 to examine the high quality of the stones and witness the ethical and sustainable practices under which Canadian diamonds are mined. I’m also impressed with the economic benefits the mines contribute to the surrounding communities. These are all great reasons for me to share this remarkable story.”
