JCK LasVegas 2012 Spotlight on "Made In the USA"

I think that by now we are all familiar with the ABC Nightly News feature "Made in America"  where Diane Sawyer and team encourage viewers to look at everything in their home to discover how much of what they purchase is actually made here in the United States.  (BTW - is there a Jewelers/Brand list on the ABC website yet? ...are you on it?)
This year the JCK Las Vegas Show is paying attention to Jewelers and Brands that  source and produce in the US!  ...announcement follows link...
The 2012 JCK Las Vegas show will call special attention to manufacturers and designers who source materials and produce jewelry entirely in the U.S.A.  In total, 338 manufacturers and designers are designated ‘Made in the U.S.A.’, including over 50 new exhibitors to the show this year. The program will identify ‘Made in the U.S.A.’ at the JCK Show through the show guide, online map, booth signs and decals.
“We actually began identifying manufacturers and designers who produce solely in the U.S.A. last year and received very encouraging feedback on the program. Many retailers shared how important this feature is, as they have seen the hallmark of ‘Made in the U.S.A.’ positively influence consumer purchases over the last few years.” Explains Yancy Weinrich, Industry Vice President, JCK Events.
Ann Arnold, CEO of Lieberfarb, who oversees the production of each piece in their NJ Factory notes the importance of ‘Made in the U.S.A.’ to her brand, saying “The value of each piece is greatly enhanced by the fact that we are involved in every aspect of production from sourcing our own homegrown materials to nurturing vendor and craftsman relationships. The level of quality control and service it guarantees is invaluable in my mind.”
For many, ‘Made in the U.S.A.’ is a key feature, over any other that defines them in this market. As a result of selecting the ‘Made in the U.S.A.’ category, an American flag appears next to the brand’s name in various show-planning tools such as the show product guide and online maps of the show floor. Retailers registering for the show can utilize these tools, searching specifically for ‘Made in the U.S.A.’ brands when planning their trip. While at the show, amid the comprehensive collection of exhibitors, retailers can easily source ‘Made in the U.S.A.’ brands by the American flag decal that appears next to their booth number.
