#JewelWKLV - Kelly Osbourne & Pamela Anderson - Celebs Shine in Palladium!


Kelly Osbourne was radiant in Palladium Jewelry this weekend while she was in Las Vegas for the annual Couture Show. The Fashion Police star met with designers, retailers, and fans at Palladium Alliance International’s booth. Kelly arrived wearing a Jonathan Simkhai skirt, striped top and Giuseppe Zanotti heels in which she paired with Palladium earrings by Jacob & Co. and an exquisite Palladium necklace and rings.

The fashion expert explained that Palladium is always her go-to because it is so lightweight. She raved, “I’m a tomboy and I move around a lot, so I need jewelry that moves too!” Osbourne added, “I love big earrings, but I don’t want huge holes in my ears, so if I’m wearing big earrings, they’ve got to be Palladium!”

The Fashion Police star also commented on Palladium’s Biggest Jewelry design contest ever, which includes over $1,000,000 in prizes. What piece would she design? “I want to do a jewelry line goes from day to night easily, that includes a clip to change up the look of the pieces, with the recessions you get two looks for the price on one – that can also keep up with ever changing trends.”





Also spotted at the Palladium Alliance International booth was actress Pamela Anderson. The former Baywatch babe was welcomed to Las Vegas by swarms of fans who could not wait to get a glimpse of her. Anderson expressed her love for Palladium because it enables her to add statement pieces to her simple looks without feeling too weighed down. She explain that she always wears jewelry – even to the beach.

When asking the ultimate beach babe what her must have accessory is she doesn’t hesitate to say belly chains stating, “I’m gonna make my next belly chain out of Palladium and I’m so excited!”


Kelly Osbourne perused the Palladium Jewelry collection including designs from Todd Reed and Sholdt, but what caught her eye was the an amazing Palladium spider broach by Alishan stating, “Spiders are my biggest fear! But not this spider, I love this! Anything sparkly is my friend”. She was such a fan of the Palladium by Alishan design that she will be wearing it to the Miss USA Pageant where she will be a judge this weekend.


The fashionista looked better than ever and explained that she owed it all to eating right and working out, “Your muscles have muscle memory, so it’s important to always switch up your exercise routine” Kelly’s routine includes cardio, yoga, and pilates.

But even more important than her amazing physique was the newest addition to her family - brother Jack’s new daughter Pearl. The proud new aunt raved, “She is the most perfect baby in the world, she is seriously the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.”

Increased attendance, exceptional product 
and positive show experience translate into big sales

Las Vegas, NV (June 7, 2012) - JCK Las Vegas 2012 came to a close this past Monday after 4 days of impressive numbers, a 21% increase in attendance over two years. The Show featured over 2,500 exhibitors and welcomed retailers and media from around the globe. By Show's end, exhibitors across the board reported an atmosphere of positivity and robust buying.

The Show's return to Mandalay Bay proved successful in the key areas of attendance and product. With support from JCK's leading anchors, AGTA GemFair™, Hong Kong, Plumb Club, Prestige Promenade, VICENZAORO Italian Club as well as exhibitors from 22 countries. In addition, international buyer attendance increased with delegations attending from Australia, Brazil, China, India, Malaysia, Mexico and Russia as JCK Las Vegas continued to solidify its position as a global brand.

By combining JCK Las Vegas' with its upscale offerings, LUXURY, Elite Enclave and Swiss Watch, 850 high-end and international retail stores were attracted to the Show for it's all encompassing breadth, variety and one-stop shopping. Swiss Watch, held in the suites at Mandalay Bay, THEhotel and Mandarin Oriental hosted 30 leading watch brands including Breitling, Christian Dior, GUCCI, Hermes, Hublot and Tag Heuer. Members of the media turned out as well, taking advantage of the Show's "Press-Friendly" initiative, which delivered an efficient show experience.

Of the Show's luxury component, convenience and attendance, Lisa Cochin of Forevermark explained "Elite Enclave was the ideal setting for Forevermark to exhibit during Las Vegas Jewelry week. The setting was exclusive, yet inviting, and was very convenient for our partner suppliers to bring their clients to visit the salon from the main Show floor. It was great to utilize the lounge for impromptu meetings, with its first-class service and accommodations."

Jennifer McCullough of Smyth Jewelers shared "We were very impressed with the breadth of collections available at the Shows. The combination of LUXURY and Elite Enclave with the larger show allowed us to shop each category and price point that appeals to our customer base."

On the product front, buyers and media alike reacted favorably to the extensive and varied new products being showcased. Recognizable trends included color, both in gemstones and metals, alternative bridal, (though classic and vintage were certainly not absent) and new metals. Exhibitors experimenting with different metals and proportions delivered varying price points across all product categories.

Aida Alvarez of Birks and Mayors commented "The Show delivered for us in a big way this year. The broad categories represented from luxury to fashion and everything in between made for a very convenient and fruitful shopping experience. The exhibitors really understood the market this year and presented diverse products and price points that were on trend."

Shail Madhvani of Simplex Diam added "JCK did an exceptional job attracting buyers who were looking for favorable pricing. We opened many new accounts and found the overall mood to be very optimistic."

Mark Moeller of RF Moeller added "I couldn't be happier with my JCK experience this year. JCK did a great job making the show extremely easy to navigate. We were able to meet with all our key vendors and meet many new exhibitors as well. There is no other show that allows us to gauge the future for new ideas and products then JCK."

Regarding the overall show experience, JCK Las Vegas made major improvements to the program, increasing amenities and services, or "creature comforts". In addition to providing GPS and mobile planning solutions, abundant food options, including Kosher, beauty and relaxation treatments, educational seminars and kosher prayer services were part of the Show's offerings. In the entertainment department, JCK Las Vegas proved to be a hotbed of activity throughout the week boasting numerous celebrity sightings, sponsored daily fashion shows, hosted parties at Mandalay Bay including TAG Heuer, who's private event at Mix featured Sheryl Crow and the high-energy 'JCK Rocks the Beach' party which hosted 4,000 buyers and exhibitors.

Moshe Klein of Julius Klein remarked "JCK went out of their way to accommodate our needs and truly took the Kosher dining to another level. We had over 500 people join us for Shabbats services and allowed us to carry on our traditions in the midst of our show."

Finally, Phyllis Bergman of Mercury Ring shared "We had our best show in 19 years, when we began exhibiting at JCK Las Vegas. The time spent strengthening relationships and beginning new dialogues has allowed us to bring our product to millions of consumers via our retail customer network. As a veteran exhibitor at this Show, I can say that JCK has truly become a multi-faceted brand with no shortage of opportunities to take advantage of, from the thrill of the tradeshow experience to their yearlong programs such as JCK Marketplace and JCK TV."

Just before I got in the car to drive home yesterday I went to one last event...The presentation of the winners of the Platinum Innovation Awards were announced at a special press conference at JCK Las Vegas.


This year two awards were given in 7 categories - one was chosen at an Editors event that included editorial staff from all of the respected Jewelry and Fashion Publications, Blogs and Organizations.

The second was chosen from the show floor at JCK Las Vegas by the Buyers attending.  In a voting system much like Dancing With The Stars, various pieces throughout the show were marked with labels that instructed shoppers to text an identifying number to the PGI phonebank where the votes were tallied and announced Sunday night.

The event was beautiful - the models stunning and the winning jewels spectacular!!!

The room buzzed with the excitement of Press, Designers and Industry leaders present.  I caught a few shots of the winning pieces from the announcement event and will share them with you - professional shots will be coming soon.

 TRENDS AND POSITIVE FEEDBACK EMERGING
Various Show Events Still to Come 
Las Vegas, NV (June 3, 2012) - JCK Las Vegas, now in its 3rd day, is midway through its 2012 run. The show, which features 2,500 exhibiting jewelry companies, is boasting an increase in attendance over last year through Saturday. Buyers have reacted favorably to the quality of designs presented, as well as the show's overall program. With a closing date of Monday, June 4th, JCK Las Vegas still has a full schedule of events to put forward.

According to attendees from the media and retail sector, including international retailers, many trends and themes have been visible on the show floor, including classic and alternative bridal, organic designs incorporating varied shapes, cuts and stones and the use of versatile metals such as Palladium and Platinaire®, a high-end, yet cost effective metals.

Marc Bigelow, Owner of Bluestone Jewelry in Tahoe City, CA explained "We try to procure unique jewelry for our clients. JCK is the place to be to find the best of the best and bring it back to our store. Because of challenges in the past few years, exhibitors are becoming even more creative with their collections, adding more metal choices and meeting more market needs."

Retailers from Toronto, Canada, Carmen and Chris Valente of Valente Jewelers, shared "We decided to visit JCK Las Vegas for the first time this year hoping to expand our business and build relationships with new exhibitors and suppliers. The scope of the show is impressive, with lots to see and many doors to be opened."

In addition to the positive feedback on product and business, buyers have enjoyed the show's features and the celebratory atmosphere. In recognition and celebration of emerging design talent, JCK Magazine announced up and coming designer Walt Adler as the winner of 'JCK Rock Star', the original video series sponsored by Swarovski.

In the show's final two days, the JCK Las Vegas team has more in store by way of special events. Sunday holds in store the annual LeVian® Fashion show, known for its high energy and glamorous runway looks. The event will take place in the Lagoon Ballroom with cocktails at 4:30pm and the show itself commencing at 5:15pm. The Design Center will hold its annual Top 50 Retailer Awards, honoring the industry's best in selling, merchandising and displaying jewelry at 2:30pm in the Design Center and JCK Rocks the Beach will take place Sunday evening at the Beach at Mandalay Bay, featuring the star power and musical talents of OneRepublic. JCK Rocks the Beach is a first-come first-serve event and badges are required for entry.
