Alain Mouawad left the family-owned Mouawad Group to set up his own brand Blacksand. Because of the attachment of Asian consumers to established brands, he sees Europe and the USA as the main markets for his new timepieces, which introduce a bold new design element to what is otherwise a relatively classic look.
